MaxLinear Revenue Jumps 72% on AI Demand
MaxLinear reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of about $218 million, up roughly 72% year over year, and net income of $28.9 million, as strong AI data-center demand drove a sharp increase in infrastructure sales. The company raised its 2026 optical data-center revenue outlook to $250 million–$270 million and forecast fourth-quarter revenue of $240 million–$260 million, above analysts’ expectations. It also expanded its revolving credit facility to $200 million and lowered its liquidity covenant threshold, providing more flexibility to fund wafer purchases and working capital. The results and outlook highlight growth potential in optical connectivity, but investors remain cautious about execution, competition, and valuation; the stock has been volatile and remains exposed to demand and pricing risks.
