Mayo Clinic Tops Global Smart Hospital Rankings

Mayo Clinic in Rochester was named the world’s No. 1 smart hospital in Newsweek’s 2027 rankings, which recognize 410 healthcare organizations in 33 countries for digital innovation in patient care. Three other Mayo locations also placed in the top 50: Arizona at No. 11, Florida at No. 21 and Eau Claire, Wisconsin, at No. 46; all four were recognized as Leaders in AI Innovation. The rankings highlight hospitals’ use of technology, including AI, and Mayo’s recognition follows its eighth consecutive year as Newsweek’s top hospital overall. Other Minnesota hospitals on the smart-hospital list included Abbott Northwestern at No. 74 and Cambridge Medical Center at No. 401.
