NHS Campaign and Savannah Event Urge Open Menopause Talks
Health professionals and advocates are urging more open discussion of menopause and better access to reliable information and care, noting that stigma and limited guidance can leave women unprepared or struggling alone. An NHS England campaign featuring Pontefract Hospital menopause specialist Veena Kaul aims to raise awareness of symptoms and available support. Menopause can affect physical and emotional well-being in varied ways, including hot flashes, sleep problems, mood changes, brain fog, vaginal dryness and urinary symptoms. Advocates also called on employers, families and policymakers to foster supportive environments, while a Savannah health event is offering education on menopause, perimenopause, symptoms and how to prepare for conversations with healthcare providers.
