Mercedes Expands S-Class Brake Recall Over Leak Risk

Mercedes-Benz has expanded its S-Class brake-hose recall to about 30,000 U.S. vehicles, including S-Class, Maybach and AMG models from model years 2022–2025. The front hoses can fatigue under heat and mechanical stress and leak brake fluid, reducing braking performance in one of the car’s two brake circuits and increasing crash risk. The broader campaign follows reports and testing that showed the problem was not confined to the production periods or climates cited in the original 2025 recall. Drivers may see a red brake-fluid warning once a leak occurs, but the company says there may be no warning beforehand.
