Messi Returns to Miami After Argentina Farewell

After an emotional sendoff from Argentina’s national team, Lionel Messi returned to Inter Miami and scored twice in a 4-0 win over D.C. United. His solo goal earned the most fan votes for MLS Goal of the Matchday, while Luis Suárez also starred with two goals and an assist. The victory eased pressure on Miami after a difficult run and strengthened the team’s position in the Eastern Conference. Messi is now pursuing another MLS Cup, the league’s scoring title and a third consecutive MLS MVP award.
