The 2026 Michelin Guide American South recognized restaurants across the region, with Tennessee reaching 45 recognized establishments, including 11 new additions, three One-Star restaurants, 12 Bib Gourmands and 30 recommendations. In Memphis, Bao Toan Kitchen & Bar became the city’s first Vietnamese restaurant to earn a Bib Gourmand, Hog & Hominy retained its distinction, and Fawn joined the recommended list. Mississippi received 14 honors: three Bib Gourmands, 11 recommended restaurants and an Exceptional Cocktail Award for Oxford mixologist Ally Bowen. Asheville hospitality professionals also celebrated local restaurants’ recognition at the guide’s awards ceremony.
