Michigan edges Oregon State 98-93

Michigan beat Oregon State 98-93 in a tightly contested preseason exhibition in Ann Arbor, rallying after the Beavers took a 76-74 lead with just over seven minutes remaining. Elliot Cadeau scored 26 of his game-high 27 points in the second half and added eight assists, while Moustapha Thiam had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Trey McKenney scored 18 before fouling out. DeShawn Gory led Oregon State with 20 points, and Legend Smiley added 17 as the Beavers kept pace throughout. Michigan’s 17-7 advantage in turnovers helped offset Oregon State’s edge on the boards, and Cadeau’s late scoring and playmaking secured the win.
