Michigan State and Michigan’s men’s and women’s cross-country teams will close their regular seasons Friday at the EMU Fall Classic, a 5,000-meter meet at Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter. The in-state field includes host Eastern Michigan and both Michigan programs, with the men’s race scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and the women’s race immediately afterward. Michigan State heads into the meet after strong competition at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, where its men placed 15th and its top woman recorded a season-best performance. Michigan’s teams also bring varied results from a fall schedule featuring the Nuttycombe, Loyola Lakefront and Pre-National invitationals. The meet serves as a final tune-up before postseason competition.
