Michigan Woman Arrested Twice for DUII in Bend
A 34-year-old Michigan woman was arrested twice for driving under the influence in less than eight hours in Bend, Oregon, authorities said. Deputies first stopped Danielle Cox after seeing her minivan cross the center line and swerve onto the shoulder; a blood test showed her alcohol level was above the legal limit. After being released to an acquaintance, Cox went to retrieve her dog, which had been taken to a humane society, and allegedly drove there still impaired. The same deputy arrested her again, and she remained in custody pending arraignment. The arrests occurred during a DUII enforcement effort honoring Lauren Craven, a Bend native and California police officer killed by an impaired driver while assisting at a crash scene.
