Mike Myers Plans Dr. Evil-Centric Austin Powers Sequel

Mike Myers says the planned fourth Austin Powers film is being developed from Dr. Evil’s point of view, though he cautioned that the script’s direction could still change. Myers said audience affection for Dr. Evil is roughly equal to that for Austin Powers and recalled pushing back against early studio feedback that the villain was too mean. The franchise’s previous film, Austin Powers in Goldmember, was released in 2002; no release date, plot details or casting have been announced for a new installment.
