Mild Forecasts Contrast Alaska Storm Warnings
Much of the Lower 48 is headed for a calmer, sunnier Sunday after unsettled weather, with cool or frosty mornings followed by seasonal afternoon temperatures in Grand Rapids, Bangor and Spokane. The generally dry, mild fall pattern is expected to continue into next week in Grand Rapids and Bangor, while Spokane stays cool and mostly dry before a possible late-week shift. Alaska is the major exception: although some areas get a brief break, a new storm is expected to bring rain and snow, with heavy snow and strong winds possible in parts of the Interior.
