Montgomery Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Armed Robbery
Michael Boone was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree robbery for a 2023 armed assault in Montgomery. On April 28, Boone and an accomplice entered a vehicle parked on North Burbank Drive while its driver was asleep; both displayed firearms, and Boone struck the victim repeatedly in the head. They stole cash, jewelry and a gun before fleeing. Prosecutors said the sentence holds Boone accountable for a violent crime involving firearms; the available reports do not say whether the accomplice was arrested or charged.
