Montgomery Teacher Accused of Drug Sale, School Gun
Montgomery, Alabama, teacher Langston Carter, 30, was arrested after a student told police Carter allegedly sold him oxycodone and acetaminophen pills for $10 and handed them to him in a classroom. Investigators say payment was sent through Cash App to Carter’s girlfriend, and a search of Carter’s vehicle after a police dog alerted reportedly uncovered marijuana, additional pills, mushroom-infused gummies, drug paraphernalia and a loaded handgun. Carter faces felony charges including unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, possessing a firearm on school property and marijuana possession; he was reportedly held on $300,000 bond. L.E.A.D. Academy said students were placed on lockdown during the investigation and confirmed Carter was fired. The allegations have not been proven in court.
