Moses Lake Police Arrest Suspects in Multiple Shootings

Moses Lake police arrested several people in two separate shooting investigations. In the Yakima County shooting case, 25-year-old Isaiah Sanchez was arrested with assistance from U.S. Marshals, and officers found a handgun modified to fire automatically and other evidence linking him to the shooting; he was transferred to Yakima County authorities and may face federal prosecution. In a separate investigation into a gang-related drive-by shooting on Buell Drive that caused no reported injuries, detectives used surveillance footage to locate the suspect vehicle and arrested 21-year-old David Cantu and a 17-year-old boy on felony firearm-possession charges. Two other occupants of the vehicle also faced misdemeanor charges, and police reported finding multiple firearms.
