Moto Guzzi Opens €50 Million Lake Como Factory-Museum

Moto Guzzi has unveiled a renovated headquarters, expanded factory and new museum in Mandello del Lario on Lake Como as part of its 105th-anniversary World Days celebration, held Sept. 3-6, 2026. The five-year, more than 50 million-euro project added roughly 5,500 square meters of facilities, including a 3,000-square-meter museum designed by American architect Greg Lynn to reflect the surrounding mountains. The museum displays more than 160 motorcycles spanning the company’s history, including prototypes, racing bikes and historic service motorcycles. The upgraded production site retains Moto Guzzi’s hand-assembly tradition while adding modern manufacturing, safety and sustainability features, including photovoltaic panels, automated parts handling and robotic transport technology. Thousands of riders attended the gathering and joined a parade from Lecco to Mandello del Lario, where the company has continuously built motorcycles since its founding in 1921.
