Nagpur Flower Show Draws Nearly 1,000 Entries

Gardening enthusiasts are highlighting ways to add color and variety to homes and landscapes, from formal exhibitions to practical planting advice. Nagpur’s annual Monsoon Flower Show displayed nearly 1,000 entries, including roses, bonsai, indoor plants, cacti, succulents, cut flowers and floral arrangements, with awards recognizing leading growers and exhibitors. For a relaxed cottage-garden style in Texas, gardeners are encouraged to choose flowering plants that can withstand the state’s demanding climate. Shade-tolerant annuals such as impatiens and begonias, along with tropical torenia and longer-lasting perennials, can brighten areas with limited sunlight. Potted succulents including aloe vera, crown of thorns, moon cactus, desert rose and kalanchoe offer low-maintenance color for indoor, balcony and partly shaded settings, particularly during the rainy season.
