Nashville Man Arrested in Vet Impersonation Case

Prashant Pandya, 45, was arrested on a felony charge of impersonating a veterinarian at Caudle Veterinary Clinic in East Nashville. Police say he was never licensed in Tennessee, despite allegedly presenting himself as “Dr. Pandya” and wearing a coat identifying him as a veterinarian; he had applied for a license but failed the required exams. The investigation followed pet owners’ complaints about adverse outcomes, with detectives identifying at least seven cases involving dogs and cats between August 2025 and September 2026. Police, working with the district attorney’s office and the Drug Enforcement Administration, executed a search warrant at the clinic and say additional charges may follow. One report said at least two dogs died and another suffered serious complications.
