Nationals Score Four in 11th, Beat Cardinals 8-5

The Washington Nationals defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 8-5 in 11 innings Saturday, scoring four runs in the top of the 11th after a successful catcher’s-interference challenge with the bases loaded. Jose Tena delivered a two-run double, and Dylan Crews added a sacrifice fly before Washington held off a Cardinals rally in the bottom half. Jorbit Vivas had a career-high four hits, while Daylen Lile hit a two-run homer in the first inning. Washington has won six of its last seven games, while St. Louis has lost four in a row.
