NBA ties record with 125 players from 43 countries
The NBA’s 2026-27 opening-night rosters include 125 international players from 43 countries, tying the league record for countries represented, though the player total is down from last season’s 135. France leads countries outside the United States for the first time in 13 seasons, with 17 players, ahead of Canada’s 16; 70 players are European, and every team has at least one international player. Dallas, Miami and Washington have the most international players, with seven apiece. The league will also stage regular-season games in Mexico City, Paris and Manchester as part of its global expansion efforts.
