WEHCO Media to Cut 102 Jobs at Two Arkansas Newspapers

WEHCO Media plans to cut 74 jobs—about 30% of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s workforce—mainly in production, circulation and advertising, while leaving its Little Rock newsroom intact. It will also eliminate 28 jobs at the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, including 13 newsroom positions; the company cited declining print circulation and advertising revenue and the shift to digital.
