Dutch health institute warns Trump-shaped ecstasy pills contain dangerous PMMA
The Netherlands’ Trimbos Institute issued a Red Alert warning after testing found ecstasy pills shaped like Donald Trump containing very high levels of PMMA. The two-tone pills bear Trump’s head and NL and Trump markings, available in several colors, and were tested at DIMS centers nationwide. PMMA is similar to MDMA but has a steeper dose-response and a slower onset, which can lead users to take more and suffer overheating, seizures, or death. The institute urged people not to use the pills and to have drugs tested, noting no reported deaths or serious illnesses yet. DIMS distributes warnings via its Red Alert app, and Trimbos has previously warned about Trump-shaped pills appearing in Europe. Authorities emphasize the pills are illegal to produce or use in the Netherlands, and this is not the first time Trump-shaped ecstasy pills have circulated.
