Nevada Day Parade Expected to Feature 221 Entries

Carson City’s 88th Nevada Day Parade is set for Saturday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m., with 221 entries including marching bands, first responders, elected officials and community groups. The parade theme is “Pumpkins, Pioneers and Tall Tales,” and rain is possible, with chilly morning temperatures forecast. The day’s festivities include a weather-permitting balloon launch, downtown vendors and activities, and the Nevada Day Classic, an 8K run and two-mile run or walk that raises money for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
