New Mexico Sweeps Mountain West Cross-Country Titles

Arkansas State’s men’s basketball team was picked by Sun Belt coaches as the conference’s preseason favorite despite returning only one player from last season’s roster. Coach Ryan Pannone has rebuilt the team with players from seven states and five countries, including preseason All-Sun Belt second-team selections Layne Taylor and Tameron Ferguson. The Red Wolves women’s bowling team finished seventh among 23 teams at the Destination Florida event, posting a 9-3 head-to-head record and closing with a win over Youngstown State. At the Sun Belt Cross Country Championships, Arkansas State’s men placed second as Martinez-Jaramillo finished fifth and earned first-team all-conference honors; the women finished sixth, led by an 18th-place result.
