NextNRG Plans $22M Indiana Energy Center Acquisition

NextNRG signed a nonbinding term sheet to acquire a 33-acre South Bend, Indiana, property for $22 million and a binding 10-year lease for a pharmaceutical company to occupy its existing 50,000-square-foot building, contingent on the acquisition closing. The company plans to develop the remaining site as the Lone Wolf Energy Center, combining data-center infrastructure with on-site power generation, battery storage and microgrid systems. NextNRG says the site could support up to 70 megawatts of data-center capacity, with potential to reach 100 megawatts, and expects to work with a separate partner on AI computing operations while focusing on energy infrastructure. The proposed acquisition remains subject to definitive agreements and required approvals.
