Niall Harbison rescues Skye, found immobile and covered in thousands of fleas

Niall Harbison found a dog named Skye immobile and covered in thousands of fleas.

"When I found her like this she could no longer move. She had 1000s of fleas on her and her life was about to end," Harbison said.

He posted on Bluesky at 11:36 AM on June 3, 2026. "It's only 24 hours since I walked up to her in this condition, and I feared the absolute worst. I wasn't sure if she'd even live, never mind walk again. But if you need a big smile, watch until the end of this video, and you'll see just how brave little Skye is," he wrote.

A commenter said that once the fleas were gone, Skye stood up on her own. Others following the Happy Doggo team mentioned her bandana, her mismatched ears with one up and one down, and a wonky weird leg she was learning to use.

On June 4, 2026, at 1:30 PM, Harbison posted again. "What a difference 48 hours makes. Even I was stunned at the progress Skye made today ❤️," he said. Skye was taking steps.

He shared a YouTube link. "A really beautiful ending for little Skye," Harbison wrote.

An X post of his drew 18,397 likes. "Just look at her now. She has everything a dog could ever want! Beautiful little Skye," he said.
