No. 10 Houston beats No. 16 Michigan 83-66

No. 10 Houston defeated No. 16 Michigan, 83-66, in the teams’ final preseason exhibition, pulling away in the second half. Michigan’s foul trouble and rebounding problems helped Houston create second chances and score at the free-throw line, while the Cougars’ disciplined defense forced rushed shots and their perimeter shooting widened the gap. The Wolverines briefly took a first-half lead but struggled to sustain their offense as Houston’s physical pressure mounted.
