No. 10 Iowa expected to host Towson

No. 10 Iowa opens its 2026-27 women’s basketball season at home Monday against Towson, aiming to build on last season’s 27-7 record and NCAA Tournament appearance. The Hawkeyes return five players and add six newcomers, including Georgia transfer Dani Carnegie, who scored 30 points in Iowa’s 124-67 exhibition win over Maryville. Iowa’s new lineup and offensive approach will face an early test against a Towson team that went 17-14 last season and returns experienced guards while adding transfer Ava Renninger. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT at Carver-Hawkeye Arena and will stream on B1G+.
