No. 3 Montana State seeks consistency versus Cal Poly

Montana State is preparing to host Cal Poly after a 38-33 win over Weber State, seeking a more consistent performance while extending its seven-game winning streak against the Mustangs. Cal Poly enters at 4-5 overall and 3-3 in Big Sky play after a 43-26 loss to Utah Tech, in which it committed six turnovers, including four interceptions. The Mustangs have shown they can challenge strong opponents, with wins over Idaho and Idaho State and a double-overtime loss to Weber State, and Montana State coach Brent Vigen says his team is preparing for Cal Poly at its best. Cal Poly’s status as a threat also depends on running back Jaden Green, who missed the Utah Tech game; his return is uncertain, while quarterback Anthony Grigsby Jr. brings a productive passing attack but has thrown 10 interceptions. Montana State is aiming to sharpen its urgency and consistency against an unpredictable opponent.
