No. 6 Michigan State Set to Host Toledo

No. 6 Michigan State hosts Toledo on Thursday night in East Lansing, with the Spartans looking to build on a 96-59 season-opening win over Quinnipiac and the Rockets trying to rebound from a 71-70 loss at Arkansas State. Toledo nearly erased a 12-point deficit in its opener, led by Mynor Strong’s 18 points and double-doubles from Jaylan Ouwinga and Angel Montas Jr. Michigan State’s Jeremy Fears Jr. had 13 points and 11 assists against Quinnipiac, while newcomer Anton Bonke added 11 points and 13 rebounds as the Spartans began adjusting to frontcourt departures from last season’s Sweet Sixteen team. The game tips off at 8 p.m. ET and will air on NBC Sports Network and Peacock.
