No Kings Rallies Urge Midterm Voting Nationwide
Ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections, voter turnout was the central message at rallies and events across the country. In Muncie, nonpartisan organizers planned a march to early-voting sites, while a Saginaw rally urged eligible voters to make a plan to vote early and emphasized accessibility and nonviolence. No Kings protests in Franklin, Tennessee, and Rancho Bernardo, California, criticized President Donald Trump and his administration but focused their appeals on mobilizing voters; Franklin speakers also raised concerns about the Iran war, costs, health care and other issues. Organizers in Franklin said turnout was lower than at a previous protest, with many supporters canvassing and encouraging people to vote instead.
