No-Tipping Signs Debut Across Las Vegas Strip
Clark County has added digital messages to Las Vegas Strip marquees telling visitors that tipping street performers or paying for photos is not required. The signs also advise anyone who feels harassed to seek out a police officer or call 911. The campaign aims to clarify tourists’ rights and deter performers and costumed characters from pressuring visitors for money. It follows an alleged assault in which two showgirl impersonators demanded more money from a North Carolina couple after they paid $20 for photos; both visitors were injured, and the performers were arrested.
