Novant Breaks Ground on $20M Greensboro Medical Plaza

Novant Health and Mount Zion Development Company have broken ground on the Zion Hills Medical Plaza in southeast Greensboro, advancing a partnership with Mount Zion Baptist Church to expand local access to care. The 40,000-square-foot facility, part of a 65-acre mixed-use development, is expected to open in spring 2028. It is planned to offer primary and specialty services including women’s and pediatric care, diabetes management, heart and vascular care, imaging and lab services, along with on-site community health support. While construction continues, Novant is providing primary care and diabetes services through a mobile clinic at the church and virtual clinician visits through an on-site kiosk. Novant says the development could help guide future expansion projects.
