Nuggets waive Lonnie Walker IV after camp
The Denver Nuggets are waiving guard Lonnie Walker IV, ending his bid for an NBA roster spot after he joined training camp on a non-guaranteed Exhibit 9 deal. Walker appeared in only two preseason games, scored four points in 17 minutes and was left out of the rotation in Denver’s win over Chicago. The 27-year-old has played in the NBA for several teams and spent recent seasons in Europe, most recently with Maccabi Tel Aviv. His agent switch to Serbian representative Misko Raznatovic has fueled speculation that Walker may return to the EuroLeague, though his next destination is not yet known. Denver still has an open roster spot and can weigh other options, including players already under contract.
