O’Neal, Singh, Jacobson share SAS lead

Tim O’Neal, Vijay Singh and Freddie Jacobson share the lead at 6-under after two rounds of the SAS Championship in Cary, North Carolina, setting up a closely contested final round. Cold, wet and windy conditions made Saturday difficult, with the leaders’ 138 total the highest 36-hole score to lead a PGA Tour Champions event this season. O’Neal shot 68, Singh carded his second straight 69, and Jacobson posted a 70; Chad Campbell and Søren Kjeldsen are one stroke back. Y.E. Yang recorded the day’s low round, a 65, while first-round leader Retief Goosen fell back with a 79.
