Maine Mural, Brighton Meditation Photos Join St. Louis Ocean Show
Artists in Maine, Brighton and St. Louis are bringing ocean-inspired art to public audiences. In Boothbay Harbor, Dan Nielsen is painting a large ocean mural on the former Strand Theater foundation, now part of a parking lot. Brighton photographer Eva Kalpadaki is displaying seafront photographs made during an 11-minute meditation, with talks and workshops planned alongside the outdoor exhibition. In St. Louis, Rommie Martinez is presenting “No Time to Lose,” an immersive Pop Art-style exhibition focused on ocean life and conservation, featuring a teenage heroine who protects endangered marine species.
