OceanaGold CEO Gerard Bond plans April 2027 retirement
OceanaGold President and CEO Gerard Bond plans to retire in April 2027 after five years leading the gold and copper producer. Bond will remain as a special adviser to the board and incoming CEO for six months to support the transition. The company has hired Spencer Stuart to conduct an international search for internal and external candidates. Chairman Paul Benson said OceanaGold’s strategy, capital allocation, growth pipeline and 2026 production guidance remain unchanged, with projects including the Katanning Gold Project advancing. Bond credited the company’s improved operational and financial performance, leadership culture and shareholder returns during his tenure.
