Ohio AG Candidates Contrast Experience in Youngstown Debate
Ohio attorney general candidates Democrat John Kulewicz and Republican Keith Faber debated at Youngstown State University, emphasizing competing kinds of experience. Kulewicz cited 44 years as an attorney, courtroom work and cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, arguing the state needs new leadership; Faber pointed to his tenure as state auditor, legislative service and experience managing a large organization, saying those skills prepare him to lead the attorney general’s office. Faber also criticized Kulewicz’s past corporate clients, while Kulewicz stressed his commitment to representing Ohioans and pursuing justice. The candidates also addressed issues including surveillance cameras, opioid overdoses and cyber fraud, and both said debates help voters assess their choices.
