Ohio Polls Split on Ramaswamy-Acton Race
Polls of Ohio’s governor’s race show no clear leader: a NetChoice-sponsored survey put Republican Vivek Ramaswamy at 47% and Democrat Amy Acton at 45%, within the poll’s margin of error, while other surveys found Acton ahead by roughly four to eight points. A Suffolk University/USA TODAY Network poll found Acton leading 48% to 44%, and a Republican internal poll put her ahead 50% to 42%. The Suffolk poll also found that many voters had heard about Ramaswamy’s attack ad featuring Acton’s estranged mother, and more voters viewed his campaign as negative; the poll’s findings suggested little evidence the ad had won him support. Inflation and the cost of living were the leading concerns in the NetChoice survey, which also found majority support for a proposed voter photo-ID amendment. President Trump was scheduled to campaign for Ramaswamy in Ohio ahead of the November 3 election.
