Ohio Toddler Loses Eye to Rare Cancer

Three-year-old Miley Draime was diagnosed with retinoblastoma after her mother, Kristen, noticed an unusual white glow in her eye and then saw it appear black on a baby monitor. An examination found a tumor had nearly consumed Miley’s left eye, and doctors removed the eye to prevent the cancer from spreading. A biopsy led to six rounds of chemotherapy, which she completed in 2026. Miley now has a prosthetic eye and is doing well, her mother said.
