Oklahoma Mother Gets Seven Consecutive Life Terms for Enabling Abuse
An Oklahoma judge sentenced Cherie Walker to seven consecutive life terms after a jury convicted her of enabling the sexual abuse of her 11-year-old daughter and six counts of child neglect. Authorities said the girl gave birth at home in 2025 without prenatal care or medical assistance, and DNA testing identified her stepfather, Dustin Walker, as the baby’s father. Prosecutors said Cherie Walker failed to protect the child from abuse and neglected her medical needs; Dustin Walker pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of a child under 12 and six counts of child neglect and received a life sentence plus 42 years.
