French Olympic silver medalist Cyréna Samba-Mayela has been provisionally suspended while the Athletics Integrity Unit investigates alleged anti-doping whereabouts failures. The AIU has not disclosed details of the case or a timetable for a hearing, and the suspension is not a final ruling. Elite athletes must provide accurate daily location information so officials can conduct unannounced tests; three whereabouts failures within 12 months can lead to a ban of up to two years. Samba-Mayela, 25, won silver in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2024 Paris Olympics and was that year’s European champion; a ban could put her participation in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics at risk.
