Oregon Loses to Illinois Without Four Receivers

Oregon was without four wide receivers against Illinois: freshmen Jalen Lott and Messiah Hampton were late additions to the injury report, joining Jeremiah McClellan and Evan Stewart, who were already sidelined. The reasons for Lott and Hampton’s absences were not disclosed; both had played in Oregon’s previous game against Nebraska. The depleted receiving corps left sophomore Dakorien Moore as the Ducks’ only available player among their top five receivers by season receiving yards, and Oregon struggled to sustain its offense against Illinois.
