Oregon and Utah counties begin mailing ballots for November election
Oregon counties have begun mailing ballots for the Nov. 3 general election, with Jackson County sending its ballots early amid concerns about postal delays. Official drop boxes will be available for voters returning ballots, and Deschutes County voters who have not received a ballot by Oct. 29 are urged to contact the elections office. In Bexar County, Texas, mail-in ballots require $1.11 in postage, though the Postal Service says ballots with insufficient postage will still be delivered; election officials recommend using the correct postage and returning ballots early. Utah mail ballots have also been sent, as state legislative candidates campaign on issues including public infrastructure district transparency, the Great Salt Lake and taxpayer spending.
