The PHCC Educational Foundation has named John Zink executive director, Nicole Urizzo director of Academy Services and Steve Rivers chairman as it advances workforce development, apprenticeship and trade education in plumbing and HVAC. Zink brings 29 years of experience with PHCC and its foundation, while Urizzo will continue leading PHCC of New Jersey and its online apprenticeship academy, connecting regional training needs with national programs. Rivers, a plumbing and air-conditioning contractor and former PHCC national president, has begun a two-year term. The leadership transition follows the retirement of PHCC CEO Cindy Sheridan and former Foundation Executive Director Dan Quinonez’s move to the national CEO role. The foundation is looking to broaden access to online technical education, apprenticeships and workforce partnerships, with scholarship data showing that more than 30% of applicants are 25 or older.
