Orlando Man Arrested Over Threats to Jewish Community
Florida authorities arrested 31-year-old Orlando resident Jerry Sneed on Oct. 28 after investigating reports that he posted threats against a Jewish residential community in Glades County. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said the posts included images of the community’s location and a firearm, which officers found in Sneed’s possession when he was arrested. Sneed faces charges of making written or electronic threats to kill or cause injury, conduct a mass shooting or commit terrorism, and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. The case is being prosecuted by the State Attorney’s Office for Florida’s 20th Judicial Circuit, and the investigation remains active.
