Ouaddou predicts bright future for Pirates striker

Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou praised striker Sifiso Luthuli after the 25-year-old made his first appearance of the 2026/27 season as a substitute in a 1-0 Carling Knockout quarterfinal win over Sekhukhune United. Ouaddou highlighted Luthuli’s ability in the box, work rate and pressing, saying the club should give him time and experience because he has a bright future. The coach has also encouraged winger Tshepang Moremi to make the most of his pace and natural role rather than trying to convert him into a No. 10, an approach accompanying a strong run of form. Ouaddou has credited Pirates’ winning mentality and hunger for helping him succeed at the club, while warning that Sekhukhune would be a difficult opponent under its newly confirmed coach.
