Overnight Interstate Closures Planned Across Three States

Overnight highway closures are planned for bridge work in Minnesota and Michigan. In Duluth, I-35 will be fully closed from Wednesday night into Thursday morning while crews work on a pedestrian bridge, with traffic detoured via I-535, Garfield Avenue, Railroad Street and 5th Avenue West; the bridge is expected to open by the end of October. In Flint, I-75 will have overnight closures and lane restrictions on Oct. 17 and 24 for maintenance beneath two I-69 ramps, with detours using I-475, I-69 and nearby roads. The work is intended to extend the bridges’ service life and improve safety.
