PacificSource plans 134 layoffs across Oregon

PacificSource plans to permanently lay off 134 nonunion employees in Springfield, Portland, Salem and Bend on Dec. 31, as the Springfield-based insurer scales back its business. The company cited its withdrawal from Montana and Affordable Care Act offerings, along with efforts to resize its Oregon workforce; the cuts follow earlier layoffs tied to its exits from insurance markets and Medicaid coverage in Lane County.
