Packers Hold Winning Record Despite 485 Rushing Yards

Green Bay beat Carolina 27-19, but its rushing attack remained a major concern: the Packers managed just 66 yards on 26 carries, while Josh Jacobs gained 39 yards on 21 attempts. Through eight games, Green Bay had only 485 rushing yards, making it the first NFL team to have a winning record at that point with fewer than 500 yards on the ground; its run game ranks last in the league. The weak ground attack puts added pressure on quarterback Jordan Love and the passing game, and coach Matt LaFleur said the team must find something it can rely on in the run game.
