Packers, Panthers Set Thursday Night Matchup

Green Bay and Carolina meet Thursday night looking to rebound from disappointing losses: the Packers fell 20-17 to Detroit amid complaints about second-half penalties, while the Panthers were routed 43-13 by Tampa Bay. Green Bay faces significant offensive-line absences, adding to a season of lineup changes, and will also be without linebacker Zaire Franklin. Carolina has several players ruled out, including cornerback Akayleb Evans and guard Damien Lewis. The matchup also pits Green Bay’s productive passing game and takeaway-leading defense against a Panthers team seeking to contain Josh Jacobs, who has returned to the lineup, and shore up its run defense after surrendering 258 rushing yards to Tampa Bay.
